Plastic Workshop at Keran Hallit

The City of Espoo and Muoviamo Pop-Up Plastic Workshop will open for the afternoon at Keran Hallit on August 25th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM as part of the Espoo Day event lineup.

Plastic is often perceived as an environmental villain and a modern-day nuisance, yet in reality, due to its lightness and durability, plastic is a quite responsible material – especially when recycled. Espoo City and Muoviamo want to make recycled plastic and its beauty, simplicity, versatility, and usefulness more familiar to everyone. That’s why we invite you to join us at the Espoo Day pop-up workshop.

During the afternoon, we will explore together the characteristics, processing techniques, and possibilities of recycled plastic. Come to hear, see, and try out all the things that can be created from recycled plastic both at home and using the workshop’s machinery.

If you have any unused plastic items at home with the polypropylene PP5 stamp, feel free to bring them to the workshop.

The workshop is located near the inner courtyard of Keran Hallit, just around the corner from the Tired Uncle’s Taproom terrace.
